Football has always played a huge part in Grant’s life.  When he was five years old someone asked him ‘What do you want to do when you grow up?’ His honest, childlike reply was’ I want to play for Hearts’ Well, he did in fact sign for the Jambos – he never actually played for the Premier side, but it was his first foray into the complex world of adult football. It didn’t put him off!

Getting to the match

You’ll be heading for Berwick’s home ground at Shielfield Park, Tweedmouth, Berwick Upon Tweed, TD15 2EF, England !  Sounds miles away but its only a 60-70 minute drive from Edinburgh.

You can get to, Shielfield Park either by:

• Car – from Edinburgh roughly just over an hour’s journey depending on traffic. Get onto the A1 and take the signs for Berwick. For full details check the Berwick Rangers web page http://www.berwickrangers.net
• Train – from Edinburgh Waverley - roughly a 40 -50 minute journey that takes you to Berwick – upon Tweed station.  Times vary but seem to be available at least one per hour.  For details check times with National Rail Enquires  http://www.nationalrail.co.uk
